Checklist: is your server ready for GTAV Enhanced?

New server binaries, developer mode, stricter state bags and anticheats that can't take screenshots yet. Eight points for your migration.

FiveM for GTAV Enhanced has been in early access since 21 July, and the public stress tests are behind us. Time to prepare your migration, but not to move your production server over today. This checklist helps you test.

1. Run a separate test server

Enhanced servers need the new Cfx Server binaries, a separate download next to the familiar FXServer artifacts. txAdmin is still built in, so setup will feel familiar.

2. Developer mode on dev only

On Enhanced, the client dev tools only work on servers that explicitly enable developer mode. That's a good thing: turn it on for your test server, never in production.

3. Audit your state bags

This is the biggest silent breaking change. On Legacy, every state bag value was replicated, whatever you intended. On Enhanced, only values marked as replicated go over the network. Scripts that relied on the old behaviour by accident will break.

-- server-side: the third argument replicates to clients
Entity(vehicle).state:set('fuel', 72.5, true)

-- only needed on the server? Then explicitly don't replicate
Entity(vehicle).state:set('lastDriverCid', cid, false)

A bonus: state bag sets are about 10x faster on Enhanced, and change listeners only fire when the entity exists on the receiving end.

4. Check your runtimes

C# resources run on .NET 10, JavaScript on NodeJS 26 on the server and V8 14.6 on the client. Using npm packages with native modules? Test those first.

5. Experiment with the tick rate

The sync tick rate can now go up to 120 updates per second (it was 30, or 40 with sv_useAccurateSends). Great for PvP, but measure bandwidth and CPU before you turn it all the way up.

6. Ask your anticheat about Enhanced

Screenshot and recording features that go through NUI didn't work yet when early access started. Ask your vendor for a concrete status, and see our anticheat reviews.

7. Report bugs on GitHub Discussions

Cfx.re collects feedback on Enhanced in a dedicated GitHub repository, in the Discussions tab. One good bug report there helps more than ten angry Discord messages.

8. Tell your players

The Enhanced client is a separate download with a new installer (its own cache folder, plus repair and uninstall). Have a short explanation ready in your Discord before you open test sessions.
